2GB for sub £35

Im building a new comp with a black and yellow bio hazard theme, and i need 2 x 1gb of ram either 800mhz or 1066mhz (prefer 1066)

Ive seen this:

Crucial 2 x 1gb YELLOW - PC2-6400

But i can get 2gb of 1066 for the same price!

Suggestions??

I'd go for the faster stuff (aren't there some G. Skills 1066 for £35 or so on OCUK?). I guess it will give you a bit more headroom to overclock them, and the G skills, although they have cas5 latencies, require 2.0-2.1V, which is a bit lower.

Yeh i was talking about the g skill with you yesterday.

But ive never used gskill, always been corsair, ocz and crucial.

Ill just go fo the gskill and put yellow uv paint on the sinks.

There maybe better deals on Corsair, on Dabs, £32 for cas5 dominator 2gb with the tall heatsinks. I think Dabs are a bit cheaper on delivery as well.

Actually there are some reapers as well at 5-5-5-18 and 1150MHz for £33.67, and they are black so would go with that project.

The 1150MHz just went out of stock, the 1066 reapers are £38:

The best RAM i;ve owned have always been Ballistix sticks, you just cant go wrong with 'em.

looking at 4 the now, sadly the PC is off so you dont get the "holy **** thats over the top RAM, it has green and red lights and even glows blue at the bottom!" effect.. use your imagination. My stuff overclocks nicely if you feed it enough voltage too, so I imagine your's will be much the same
