or

or (IF THEY EVER COME IN STOCK ANYWARE)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-168-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=817

is the £13 extra for the corsairs worth it for other reasons or am i paying purly for the brand also OCZ will work with a AMD nforce board right?

no budget as such just not silly prices, these wont be OCed that much, just better timings.

thank's

they look fine to me but make sure your board runs them at the required voltages my G-skill needed 2.1v but my gigabyte board run them at 1.8 and i got errors. Also imo I know corsair makes some ridiculously quality memory but you cant go wrong with a lifetime warranty either and herd lots of good things about OCZ.

let me no how you get on with thease please as i have the kingston hyper x and dont like them two mutch thanks :)

wholey agree. I am still on DDR2 but DDR3 is the go. I am happy with my overclocking and only have a DDR2 motherboard.

if you insist on buying new ddr2, id recommend going for a ballistix kit...the new 4gb kits are back on the micron ic bandwagon. will get to 1200mhz for you.

and price aint too bad used on them.

just thought youd like to know

Pity, I just sold a 4GB set of HyperX identical to that for almost half the price. I wouldn't buy them new, they're just not worth it. Second hand all the way, or ditch the board and go DDR3.

yer i cant afford to go AMD ddr3 atm but 2gb is killing me ATM especily for games and multi tasking,so you wouldent buy ither for new?

Not for how much they go for now. Grab some second hand, really. There's quite a few forums on the net where you can buy stuff from members (probably the best way), though you often need X posts etc. Not sure where you're a member atm. If not, there's ebay I suppose! Either way, memory prices, especially DDR2 haven't been higher since they first appeared on the market. I assume your budget is tight since you can't go the DDR3 route, so second hand makes sense. If you can get an invoice even better, as lots of DDR2 comes with a lifetime warranty.

Not saying those new kits aren't any good, just they're overpriced.

ok cheers alex but so i no what ime after out of them 2 what is the best,i am only a member on this forum fella, when i have some cash ile post on hear

From experience, I'd say HyperX, as mine were very reliable. I've had OCZ sets let me down in the past. Can't offer much more than that other than the kingston has slightly better timings.

The pricetags on new DDR2 are so high now! Ridiculous really, I bought my DDR2-800 C4 Crucial Ballistix Tracers for 55 euro's and that wasn't thát long ago... just around the release of the first i7's I think... not entirely sure though :p

I think they have a better chance being compatible than OCZ, which I've noticed tend to have more compatibility issues. Such issues are rare though.
