2500K new build

Hi, I have just recently upgraded from a S775 quad to a 2500K (Z68 board), a few small issues, some opinions would be great.

All seemed well for a few days so I started fiddling with it. I updated the bios to F7, tried basic clocking with just changing the multiplier.

It then seemed to have a wobble and for about a week it was bluescreening on me SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION ntoskrnl.exe+5a490, this was happening before it loaded into Windows randomly, some times fine other times splat.

I fiddled about in bios for a bit and maaged to stop it crashing by setting the ram to xmp profile 1, saying no to enhance cpu and setting the memory speed to 1600.

Is it possible that leaving the ram settings on auto with this board could cause the bluescreen issues ?, could it be as simple as that or something more to it ?

Could it be the F7 bios is not a good mix with my hardware ?

Cheers

I think your problem is the memory, load op bios defaults, and bump ram volts a few notches..

try not to ask so many question's in one post and don't build a wall 99% will not even bother reading. keep it simple and to the point untill you are a better known to the family.

Also i recomend your first post to the forum, is to say hello.

Yea, I got a bit carried away last night, apologies and hello '/waves'

Re ram volts, CPUZ says 1.5 should be used on all spd settings so I assumed it should be left at default ?
