yes, over-voltage tends to weaken parts, but there are peeps with no OC and still theirs takes
a giant dumpski (usually in the most inopportune time) so with that said, i run mine like i
stole it and back up frequently in different storage appliances. if some of the "magic" smoke
leaks out, wheel the laptop out and order more parts and apply for a RMA if possible.
these things happen to electronics and it will continue to, so blame the sheep fartin' in the

and purchases from other people that say that they never OC'd their video card, chip or board is
a lame crock, i never believe that in a second, especially if they pronounce that it had never
been OD'd.. rubbish, someone did so it is always buyer beware... 'cause there are a lot of sheep
eatin' grass, busting off toxic gasses.
