Hi
In about 2 weeks time I'm going to be ordering parts for a new build. It will be the first PC I've built for about 10 years so I really need some advice from the experts.
I've already got a case and a hard drive, and I'll keep my old monitor for now, as well as my mouse and keyboard but I need to get everything else.
As my monitor can only cope with 1680x1050 resolution I'm only going to go for a single GPU but I'm thinking of getting a SLi-ready board in case I upgrade my monitor in the future, though I'm a bit wary of microstutter/scaling etc. Maybe a single GPU solution is best.
Here is what I'm planning on getting:
Intel i5 2500k
Asus P8P67 Pro
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB
Crucial C300 64GB SSD
Corsair H60 with Enermax Magma fans
Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti SOC
Corsair HX 650W
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Comes to £944
The reason I want the H60 is because: 1. it's an improvement on the H50, 2. enough room for the Vengeance Blue memory, 3. looks tidy, 4. no motherboard strain from heavy air coolers
What do you guys think? Will the 650W PSU cope with 2 x GTX 560s in this build if I decide to go SLi?
