24" Screen (may go to 3x later), Opinions..?!

Hello Friends,

I was wondering about this display ASUS VG248QE

What anyone thinks about it,
-Is the 144Hz refresh and 1ms response time worth it, for getting a TN panel?
-Will this be as bright and crisp as my TV, and current display? Samsung (UN46ES6003)

I'll mostly be gaming with this, along with some occasional video watching, but mostly gaming. This is to free up the TV, and to reduce display lag.
