2142 - In the future there will be glitches

do you know there are data logging spyware in bf2??

thats why i kept well away from it..

well that and it being totally crappy and bf2 with new skins basically.

I thought I read an article saying about the bf2142 registration aswell, something about people's emails getting overflowed with spam advertising?
 
Nah its not spyware - it jsut detects your ip and sets the in game ads to your language etc.

Other than the glitches in the above thread its a really fun game
 
My only two problems are the non-solid walls on the Titan (don't think it affects gameplay tho) and lagging out a bit more often than I'd like.

When it first came out, everyone was saying how EA would never patch it... iirc they've released 3 patches already which is better than many games I know.

Also the "spyware" isn't as bad as most ppl make it out to be; it is only a part of the game, it doesn't search your computer or log your web surfing, etc.

Overall I'd rate 2142 pretty highly; the variety, the graphics, the objective-oriented gameplay (of Titan) are all reasons it's my primary game atm and will be for the forseeable future.
 
My problem is I can't even get into the game!

The DVD drive sees the dsic but when I lauch the game it says please insert the DVD!

e! I even got rid of all my virtual drives and still its not working!

I got it working.. Don't have programs that create virtual drives on at all.. :(

BF won't start if since the last reboot you have used that software... :mad:

indeed - also a nocd crack usually fooks the game up even more. I love titan mode - its brilliant but the annoyances of sentry bots shooting through walls and some of the blatant cheaters just annoys me. Also the amount of kick votes initiated just for some1 being the best player etc. - makes css seem flawless
 
This game absolutely blows @$$. Seriously, its just a BF2 mod pretty much that was released with a new name. Im not even online with this game and it has IN GAME adds. Yea, no

. Im playing all happy, and i turn around only to see a huge C2D add on a wall. WTF? Not only that, but there are only like 4 single player maps to play. Hello, what happend to some people may not have fast internet? Ive also heard that the online play isnt that great either, and that BF2 is about 5 times better than it. What gets me though is that in game add. Im sorry, but im sure in 2142 they wont be using Core 2 Duos. That ruined my gaming experience right there. Im glad i wasnt the sucker who paid for the game.
 
BF2142 = most fun game of all time. Haven't been more addicted to a game since CS beta TBH. When I have my main computer running *cough* pos *cough* I'm playing 2142 ALLLLL the time :)

Pwnage game, sorry to hear it's not working out for you because I have yet to have a glitch with it :(
 
Its not a glitch or anything, im just dissapointed in the fact that they sell it as a new game even though its just a new BF2 mod. Not only that the in game adds really dissapoint me too. I also, dont exactly like the gameplay either. Everybody including my LAN clan think the same. Well, a few of them like it lol. BF2 FTW,
 
I really do still like 2142, but just imagine if the servers didnt suddenly lag and if the sentry droids couldnt shoot through walls. Apparently the "Lost connection to server" is just another EA "feature"

I am the complete oposite. I hated all the old BFs.. They where all so boring.

Until the new Titan!! I am now in love! :0
 
BF2 FTW cause 2142 IS just a mod and i wouldnt pay my money on it. I even tried a 64player map online and it wasnt fun at all. Only thing i like is you get the tags from a soldier after you pwn them with a knife. "Cause everybody knows you run faster with a knife" hehe.
 
Ok im getting another problem - When I enter my titan to defend as soon as im about to enter the cargo bay for example theres almost like a forcefield that when i step through I get really poor fps (1-2 region) the soon as i step back again its fine. This has happened a couple of times.

When I stepped into there titan today...it just crashed the game lmao, thats poor
