If it was my money I would go with an LCD display. For me LED displays dont offer much other than being slimmer and use less energy. If you are a gamer you want a good LCD with that budget. I have always used Samsung monitors myself and never had a slightest problem with them, but that just might be me.

You can get some real nice 24" displays at 1080p resolution for 200 quid. However, it all depends on what you are using your monitor for and what connections you want. Just scanning around some sites I found the Samsung 2450H for under 200 quid, which has both HDMI and DVI. Do you want a monitor that can be tilted from landspcape to portrait mode?

I don't consider myself an expert in monitors so you may want to go to your local retailer and have a look at some monitors in general.

Funny you mentioned Samsung 2450H I just bought it from overclockers last night. They have it on sale for £158. Imo go for it.

Hi thanks.

I'm an old guy (43)with very old computer athlon 64 with 4650 agp graphics card , i've just got bk into games after being away for a very long time , remember HalfLife and Counter strike. LOL. So i just need it for games only nothing else. The samsung sounds like a bargin .

.

On topic: I have been using samsung for last 4 years at home and at work and never had any problems.

Yes for 150 quid definetely go for it. (It has VGA, DVI and HDMI so you will get your AGP card connected) Sounds like a bargain.

I got a three to four year old 226BW myself and I am glad I got it.

Brother has the 2450H and it is a very nice monitor, beautiful and vivid colours. I have the Asus VH242H which is also a good monitor. But I would get the Samsung
