20" Widescreen LCD Help

What about a 22" ? :)

as both of the panels you've chose have TN panels, a 22" would have the same panel and cost around the same.

This is a newly listed one.

Belinea o.display 22"

- 1680 x 1050 (WUXGA) Optimum Resolution

- 16.7 Million Colours

- 2000:1 Contrast Ratio

- 5ms Response Time

- 300 cd/m2 Brightness

£158.61

I've been looking at this one for the last week or two, not so sure atm tho as I can't seem to find any proper pictures or reviews of it :(

Contrast Ratio is 700:1 norm and 2000:1 dynamic aswell, would be nice to see a review, or even images before spending that kind of money :) seem to be a lot of 22" screens for around £150 tho, so quite a lot of choice.

I would rather have a good quality 20" then a poorer 22". I am also unsure regarding the Belinea as I can not seem to find reviews it.

Most monitors have the same panel in them

LG 22" - £149

Philips 22" - £164 (DVI+VGA)

LG 22" TFT LCD Monitor L226WTQ Widescreen DVI 2ms Black & Silver 5000:1 Tilt Revision 2 (3yr Manufacturer's Warranty) - £175

There are quite a few more if you look around.

If you want a quality panel tho at 20", maybe get a screen with a S-IPS or M-PVA panel instead of spending £200 on a TN panel

I like the look of the new samsung monitors tho :) just seem a bit overpriced :( out of the two on the first post I'd prob go for the LG, but that's because I am a cheap skate :) for something which looks nice maybe the extra £20 is worth it? not sure really :( I would do what ham did tho and get a 22" as the extra 2"s could make a difference.

Alright I really cant decide now, this is on offer:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-026-OK

and im really tempted by it. It is actually a Digimate monitor:

http://www.digimate.co.uk/index2.htm

Has anyone got one of these? Is it worth the cash?

Would love to order a monitor tonight when I get back from footie.

I was tempred by that one.

After reading some posts on OcUK tho, I'm sort of glad I haven't bothered.

There seem to be a lot of people RMAing them for various issues. Dead pixels, pixel walk (where gradients are seen to be moving), also a few other problems. Even one person saying OcUK helpdesk told him a problem is his fault for changing the settings in the OSD

Personally I'd see if I can get a 20" with a decent panel. I had a late revision 2007WFP and the difference between that and a couple of the other cheaper 20" and 22" TN panels I had was night and day

Out of those you've mentioned I'd get the Samsung, nothing but awesome experiences from both them and their panels.

Ok I took the plunge and went for the 24" as I thought it would be better for video editing etc. Received it today and I am impressed, it is huge! The quality is a lot better than my 17" LG. See pic to compare sizes:

I so far can not see any dead pixels, and the back light bleed is minimal. Time to test it in some css! I hope my 8800GT can handle css @ 1920 x 1200 :S

thats just the angle.. :)

Looks nice mate, i nearly bought myself one of those actually.. i think azza has one aswell.

Hmm.. ill upgrade in due course i need the money first.. i have far too many things to pay for atm.

I had a 2007wfp for a few weeks, RMA'd it 3 times, got a A03 and two A04 s-ips panel, but the flickering drove me crazy so I had to sell it... the color/ viewing angle is great tho

now looking for another 20" non-TN panel WS
