1st Time Newbie build of LGA2011 System

I forgot another basic question...with that build how many fans will I need to keep things cool?

I know I need the heatsink for the CPU, and the graphic card comes with a fan, plus a fan for the PSU, so how many more would I need? I want to avoid over buying fans since many cases come with 2 - 3 with room for lots more.

This is what I am leaning towards:
i5-3570k
DZ77GA-70k
1x EVGA GTX670 --- may get a 680, not sure of how much of a difference there is in frame rates between the two
Corsair DDR3 8MB
Corsair M4 256 SSD - is this large enough for OS / Programs / Games?? I seem to have over 300 GB on my current C drive (does not include music, photo, or video.)
1x Caviar Black 2 TB HDD (I read Greens are not lasting long)
Corsair AX650 (is this enough to run 2x GTX670s or 680)
Noctua HN-14
Generic Blu-Ray

I am still confused about # of Fans and brand/type and an appropriate size case --- something that will still give airflow, but that is not HUGE...some of the full size ATX towers appear to be overkill.

All - Thanks for the help.

Built my system yesterday w/no issues.

Intel i5-3570k - minor issue, comes with front panel 2x USB 3.0 adaptor but it does not "fit" with Corsair 600T mid tower -- I need to buy an additional adpator for it to fit in the bay window.

Intel DZ77GA-70k - no issue. 3.4 but BIOS showed it running 3.8 out of box with no adjustments. I have yet to overclock at this point.

1x EVGA GTX670 - no issue.

Corsair DDR3 8MB - these are large / tall, Had to remove lower fan on NH-14 to install the memory.

Corsair M4 256 SSD - no issue.

1x Caviar Black 2 TB HDD - no issue

Noctua HN-14 - this is a monster. Barely fit in my case. Had to remove lower fan for more clearance so memory could fit. Also, it comes exactly to the top of my upper fan in my case. Getting my power wires connected around this monster was doable, but monkey paw hands made it tough. Runs quiet. I just wish I could have used the lowe fan.

Pansonic Generic Blu-Ray - no issues.

Corsair AX650 - no issues. Big pro is modular wires and the sheer number they provide in the package. Also, some of the best packaging I ever saw for a product. It shows Corsair cares.

Windows 7 Pro OEM - no issues.

Corsair Graphite 600T - Very nice case, but not what I would consider a mid-tower, it is big. Desite being on what I consider the "big" side, there is plenty of room for the most part (see NH-14 above), side panels removeable with lots of space for wires and wire routing. Fan control is a plus. Stock fans run quiet. I am pleased overall.

So, thanks for the help!

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A 24" or 27" LED Monitor? Budget is $250 - $350 USD.

.. that's where I would have channeled all the initial cash from the op. Monitor and graphics cards.

All the other stuff is essentially menial (being sensible) to a gaming rig.

RMA the RAM and order low profile vengeance RAM instead then fit the fan, otherwise return the D14 and use something else, without 2 fans on it is pointless in having IMO

Monitor Selected - 27" Samsung S27A850D LED

One more update if anyone cares...

Decided to buy a Samsung S27A850D. Reviews were good on CNet and other places. Key selling point was LED, PLS, and 2560 x 1440. I was able to find it for $749 w/free shipping (in US).

I agree with you. It is expensive. My logic is flawed but goes something like this.....I just got my first flat screen HD TV 8 months ago. I love it. Not sure why I waited. Based on that, this monitor is more powerful than my TV. If I get 7 years of use out of it which I should I'll be happy as a clam. My current HP monitor is 5 years and going strong and is now a hand me down to my wife. I also used some of the money I saved by down scaling my build from the advice people gave me so I still came within the funds I set aside.

All in all, impulsiveness wins every time!!!!
