160gb hard drive broke?

alright guys

just switched my pc on too find the second hard drive is just not working?

takes forever to reconise the drive with ahci module on startup and when it gets past the windows 7 loading screen i hear a power down on my 2nd hard drive.

any help would be appreciated (there goes my new years pictures )

ive had a similar problem to that b4 with a hard drive i just disconnected it reconnected it, if that doesnt work try and get your hands on hirens boot cd mate and use that to run a hard drive diagnostic test and that scans for bad sectors and repairs them if it can

yeah its a great wee disc mate and its got all the big hard drive manufacturers diagnostic tools on it, and there is one that tests all drives
