[ RipjawsX ] F3-17000CL9D-8GBXLD CAS Latency 9-11-9-28-2N 2133mhz

or

[ RipjawsX ] F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH CAS Latency 7-8-7-24-2N 1600mhz

both cost the same going to use it now on current system and in future with ivibridge.

i seen a review that 1600mhz can be overcloked to 2133mhz 9-10-9-25-1t

witch one would be better ?

also 2133 mhz kit was reviewed in here , but it didnt clock well and it dintd show how tight timings would go if u go lower frequency.

or maybe there is something better out there ?

I would buy the 2133mhz ripjawsX.If you didnt win the chip-lottery,you will have 1600mhz rams that could run 1866mhz and wont run 2133mhz at any settings.

Sandybridge loves 2133mhz

4x2gb is the sweet spot imo as the fast 2gb sticks are cheap

dude i would get the 2133 stuff as it will hit those speeds and maybe more plus if you drop the speeds you should get cas 7 1600 anyway if you wanted or maybe even cas6 1600.

i have cas6 1600 mushkins , but only 4 gig, they not enough anymore specially in battlefield 3 and in some other things. i guess 2133 it is then.

beleave me you do in bf3 when i ruining bf 3 few other things in background i have like 200 mb left and i think its just for reserve some people use up up to 5 gig while playing bf3.

It is curious cos the game itself will believe that the end of the 32bit world stops at 4096m, whereas the 64bit world is round.

I have reports of it using 1.8g out of 2g and 32% of 4g and such like.

But also that the likes of browsers, battlelog, steam/origin will consume like a mofo. Firefox can eat memory like there's no tomorrow. Hell if you have your antivirus going.

The game itself tho will have no idea anything exists outside of 4g, and a bunch of that it will reserve for switching and loading stuff. (it can't load outside of 32bit addressing area)

Dedicated game computer that does nothing else is nice. (and a G15 that gives you the memory usage info on the display

So a person having a i2500k will notice a difference between 1666Mhz and 2133MHz ram when gaming? how many frames?

You wont notice a fps difference that much, it will just make everything run a little smother.

Hum.. realy? My brother has 1666MHz 9-9-9-27-34 i belive. so he should try to get the ram running on 2133MHz? What timings? He is running currently at 4.7GHz i belive..

Are you on drugs mate.

You asked if their would be much of a fps difference gaming between 1600mhz and 2133mhz, I said not much but it would make everything run a little smother, in respect to loading times and os browsing.

I think I would go with the kit that has the tighter timings. I highly doubt you'll see a major difference in game performance when you jump between 1600 - 2133MHz rated memory kits, but certain programs will most likely run snappier.

Lol, on drugs? I wish, my legg is broken very badly, healing on my 4th month now:-( Its engineer work inside my legg, pritty advanced if you trust my doctor, hehe. But I understand that it will not give more fps, you told me, BUT you also sayed everything will run more smother, so why not try??

So why go whit the one whit lowest timings? If it is just the same in gaming, but 2133MHz make programs run smoother, then why the heck dont go whit the 2133?

Im still havnt got around to study how ram exactly works, still om my cpu studdy, hehe

i wish reviewers would , try with high frequency memory to lower frequency and tighten the timings they usually intend to do opposite

Im build a liitle review web site for these type of things, still about a month or so away. just for fun.
