Agreed, What I find odd though is even smaller server racks with Nvidia's cards in, Say an independent studio or AI startup, Are not using this connector, They are using one akin to a PCI-e slot, I forget the correct terminology but it's sort of like the few BTF cards we've seen... so it's mostly just the gamer being forced to use this volatile connector.
I'd much rather prefer 3 x 8 pins at 150w each, With the 75w from the PCI-e slot that's still 525 watts, If Nvidia can't make a high end card work with 525 watts then there's something wrong.
