hey all.

I'm getting an H100 cooling system in a few days and I wonder which fans to use to replace the stock ones.

I know the scythe gts r the best but 20 euros for a fan r pretty much for me so I'd like sth cheaper but not crappy.any recommendations? (the fans need to be non-sleeve bearing cause they will be set horizontally)

Well tells us if noise is a problem?

The BitFenix Specter and Specter Pro fans are good pretty cheap fans, I have one of the normal Specters and even on full you can hardly hear it. The Specter Pros are a bit more powerful but also a bit louder but still pretty quiet.

u mean spectre ,right?

I have the bitfenix raider which is equipped with 3 spectres.

should I replace the 2 in the front with 2 sickleflows and put those spectres on the rad?

is it a good idea?

Yep, I meant spectre, I thought it was spelled Specter

I'm not sure about the Sickleflows, never used them myself, I just mentioned the the Spectres because I know they are pretty cheap and they are good fans

Sickleflow's were one of the fans I was looking at for my rad setup till I found out it was a sleeve bearing. I would use them as a case fan in a heartbeat, they look awesome!

That is not a bad idea at all.

I thought to use the sickleflows as case fans and add the spectres on the h100 radiator. but the spectres don't seem to be strong enough. or am I wrong?

spectre pros r not pwm

Akasa Viper and Apache fans are very good and are a pretty reasonable price too. The Bitfenix Spectre's and Spectre Pro's are good fans too. Haven't heard much about the Sickleflows so i can't comment on them. The Noctua Focus Flow fans are great but are expensive. Overall i'd say the Akasa's are my personal favourites.

I can agree with this, the spectre fans are extremely quiet at full speed. The spectre pro's are a bit noisier and shift more air than the original spectres, but both are great fans. They are 3 pin not PWM though. I have also seen the Akasa Apaches used a lot on radiators and these are reasonably quiet and PWM.

as I already said fellas , noise is not realy bothering me and the sickleflows r going to be used as case fans, NOT on the radiator

the vipers look awesome and its specs really impressing

Fan speed 600 -1900 RPM Max airflow 83.63 CFM Max static air pressure 2.98 mm H2O Noise level 6.9 -28.9 dB(A)

if noise isn't an issue i'd probably wait and see if the stock h100 fans do what you want first, from what i've seen they perform fairly well

take alook at the noctua nf-f12pwm there the best imo

SP 2.6

CFM 54

M3/H 93

RPM 1500

And temps should be around 39c to 42c delta (2700k cpu)
