1055T better doing it alone

better to fold with the 1055t (6 cores @ 4ghz) alone than with ati (at the same time) with 4 cores... or any other gfx cards either = PPD is much better

i am currently doing the P6069 WU

if i use the pc i get 12518 PPD

left alone i get 13300 PPD

Unfortunatly the ATI cards use a whole core per instance to fold, the Nvidia cards generally use 2 or 3% of a core to fold and the balance is available to SMP.
 
you will only get -bigadv if you have OC'd the 1055t to 3.8Ghz or over and must be using 6 cores

at stock it was only pulling in ~2000 PPD
 
F@H only allows -bigadv on amd hexacores if the overclock are over 3.8 and all 6 cores are used.

using a amd graphics card kills this as the card needs to utilise a full core to fold via the GPU. so... fold on an amd processor along side a amd gfx card is obviously "cutting off your nose to spite your face".

i have also noticed that surfing the web with IE while folding significantly affects my PPD, whereas surfing on firefox has no impact on my PPD at all.

i have now switched all my important web links to firefox

was because i thought you meant it was pulling 2k ppd on normal SMP2 wu's not -bigadv

So, what does it pull on normal SMP2 @ stock?
 
i had already found it lol

but, finding out how to use this thing isnt easy - there is now docs/user manual... just an installation guide !!!
