£100 Budget BF4 Gaming PC

You realize multiplayer results are next to worthless right? It will always be different every time you play and never consistent. Assume SP performance will be about the same as MP.

Nope never the same sp i can get 70fps maxed out setings mp 30-70 ultra with no filters some maps like Siege of Shanghai will tank down even more in some areas on a 64 player map.
There is a big difference between a scripted single player event and a random event online.

You proved me right lol
70fps Max in sp...
then you go on to say
mp 30-70
See that bold? Same as your single player:)

No thats not the same at all sp (maxed setings) mp ultra with NO filters = no AA NO ambient occlusion MP average 45fps (30-70) sp average 60fps (55-70)
I fail to see how that is the same.

Now lests see multiplayer...

Not interested in MP.

Will only be used to play offline.

Anyway I will do everything I can do increase these FPS lol

Also, I will be running at 1680x1050 soon so I might see a few more ther aswell ontop of the overclock :)

I will try get some MP footage recorded for you guys though.

fantastic way to get a new generation into pc gaming, quite impressive to buiild a gaming capable rig for that little money, so what if ya cant max things out, still a good starting point

That hardware...that used to be top of the range at one time as well. And yes multiplayer is different to single-player, I was playing at 90fps on one map at the weekend, the next game, 45-50...huge change. But if he's not going to play it on multiplayer then it doesn't matter I suppose.

Exactly, thanks

I think there's still more juice left to pump out of this old system though lol. I will get tweaking a little later with the overclock.

BF4 looks great even on low settings. I honestly can't stress enough how good it actually looks on my monitor I am very pleased so far. I personally prefer more frame rates than lots of eye candy anyway.

Corrected your youtube tags.

Singleplayer fps is actually LOWER than multiplayer in most cases, they used some extra effects in there that they didn't in multiplayer. but if you're just playing offline it makes no difference.

Please use correct tags in your future posts, you can edit one of your existing posts to figure it out.

Cheers

I gotta ask, I've seen this posted somewhere before, maybe last week? Was that you?

Volts wise it will depend on your cooler - 1.45 is pretty safe but temps will be HOT.

Overclocking the Q6600 is a dificult beaty though because you have the play with the NB (and keep it cool) as well as many other things

Well I've managed a stable 3.0ghz so far by changing the multi and increasing volts only. Volts set to 1.38 if I can remember now. Ive been watching temps they hit around 43 max wih CPU fan turned up and 50 with CPU fan on silent mode. I will try get to 3.4ghz though :)

These temps are only while playing games. As I am just interested in gaming only.

Also overclocked the card slightly now and the frames have improved further so I will get another video up soon, and with the overclock at 3.4ghz if it goes to that.

New results with my Samsung 1680x1050 monitor.

60fps 55fps avg and its not dropping anything below 50fps :D

Surly that matches ps4 and Xbox one fps. I think the graphics looks amazing even on low settings.

I still have yet to overclock the CPU, its currently on 3.0ghz if i can squeeze 3.4 out if this i will be a very happy chappy :D

In bf4 the ps4 runs at 900p at low/medium settings at 60fps. Just shy of your results. Xbone is a joke though.. 720p 60 fps at low settings.

So would my resolution be classed at 1050p?

I know a lot of people say bf4 looks really good on the ps4 And it has lots of new graphics technologies dx11.2+ ect. but I think even on low settings on the PC it looks amazing with this ancient card. I may be able to play with the graphics settings a little more to improve things but I really don't see the need to, looks fab as it is.

Bf4 plays so smooth and constant on my set up I am really enjoying it. Temps wise it's all nice and cool.

Im shocked, this gear from like 7 years ago is playing a nex gen game @ 60fps at times with lovely detail, and only 512mb of ram! Lol is this card I'm using DX10 or 9?

Another thing, does the ps4 run 60fps constantly? and has anyone actually captured the true fps whilst playing?

I will upload one more video showing some new fps results after the 3.2/3.4ghz overclock.

As i said currently at 3ghz with my 1680x1050 monitor I am getting 60-55 fps and has dipped very rarely to 45fps. this is the video -

Your gameplay would be in the 1050p catergory yes.
Your card is DX10.

PS4 is running at constant 60fps with 64 players on multi but it has occasional dips everynow and then which is common on any system.

Once you get more money a small upgrade in money can gain you a huge performance boost if you go with a 260x or 270 from amd or a 650ti boost from nvidia.

I actually have a 7950 DCU2 V2. This was just for some fun :)

You have to change the BCLK to clock the Q6600 properly dude

aim for 400 bclk to start with then work the multi up - 3.6ghz should be easy if you know what you are doing with the BIOS
