Civilization VI's Gathering Storm Expansion brings Climate Change to the game

Yeah this game is a joke. Evidenced by the reviews on steam. Started off great but there new DLC and Expansion policies seriously ruined this game. Sucks because this game had a lot of potential but of course money and greed always ruins quality.

I don't care what this expansion has. It's $40. The base game is $60.

I'll be honest. I like Civ VI, but the best Civ game has always been "current numbered entry -1 + DLC", which in this case is CIV V with Brave New World.

I like a lot of things about Civ VI, and I enjoyed how Rise and Fall changed things up. This new expansion feels like it will completely change the game, so I'd say £35 is worth it if you want to experience the new version of the game. This is a proper expansion, not a cheapo DLC pack.

TBH I don't know how I feel about the game's planned changes yet, but I look forward to seeing how it plays. I have over 100 hours in Civ VI already, but over 250 hours in Civ V.

That's how most people feel but I don't. Civ V was always the best.

VI was fine. But there dlc practices are absolutely horrid. Just look at the Vikings Scenario or whatever they called it. 11% positive rating.

V was pretty horrible without expansions imo.

One of my friends got into the game after Brave New World and I told him what the expansions changed in the game. He was flabbergasted by how big the changes were.

Even the idea of "Melee" Naval units was a gamechanger, as before that a great strategy was to create coastal cities, as navies could never take them without ground support or amphibious units.

I honestly think civ vi is perhaps the best civilization out of the box, so the expansions' changes aren't as profound as in V.

In current form I like both V and VI and can't decide on a favourite. But the AI is so bone-headed and predictable in both, once you figure it out.

Yeah, the AI has a lot of room for improvement. Most of the difficulty options just give the AI better yields to up the challenge rating, which isn't really the best for challenge scaling.

TBH, what I love to do is play the giant world maps in Civ and play that for a while as different nations.

The AI at launch was just horrible compared to Civ V. Hope they improved it. Wouldn't know I stopped playing because of the DLC being a turn off and the art style after a while just really bothered me
