AMD's RX Vega 64 is now available to purchase

Good luck finding one in stock. I just checked my favorite e-tailer Newegg and all the manufacturers are Out of Stock right now. Hope this improves in the next day.

Scan had some.Still do. Plastic one is £548. That's insane money.

Must be like a shark feeding frenzy for the miners. Surprised they haven't all sold out already.

Edit. Water cooled one has sold out.

Ed again. Same dismal pricing on OCUK. Nothing in stock, all pre order. So they either sold 1000 cards or Gibbo is a good liar.

Quote from Overclockers UK's Steven Levitt.

"We had several hundred VEGA cards in stock... For about the whole of 2 minutes. And now they are sold out... Probably the quickest ever!"

Not quite 1000, but these sales are impressive.

1000 is several hundred, just saying.

They not even that good at Eth mining compared to GTX 1070, if you count in the massive difference in power draw. No I think this is just pure hype that's selling these cards like hot cakes, but it won't last.

I don't know if it's hype as much as anti-Nvidia sentiment that's driving these sales. Totally understandable IMO, and not dissimilar to people buying Ryzen just to spite Intel. For the performance, I don't understand why a logical rational gamer would buy this card at this price.

Yup. I don't like Nvidia and I love AMD, but even I wasn't going to buy a Vega. So I rewarded neither by buying a used Nvidia card.

But yeah, you'd be pretty much cutting off your nose at these prices and the caveats it has.

Vega 56 makes sense though. Definitely faster than a 1070 and close to the 64 and 1080. Makes no sense to spend more than a 56
