The 16gb is bound to cost way more than that though. Shame.

Yeah, I can imagine them being no less than $450 in real world terms for the first while, which is effectively the same value as the current 7800XT.

If the prices are closer to $350, I'd be delighted, but I just don't think they will. The 9070 XT is €750 here in Europe after months of being out. I don't see the 9060 XT being anything less than €550, which is more expensive than a 7800 XT and will likely have similar performance (minus FSR4). Unfortunately, all the people making bold claims about not supporting AMD if they overcharged are now lapping up €750 9070 XT cards. Which tells AMD they can get away with it.

This is going to be around EUR 600-750 in my neck of the woods. If it ends up at 750, that will kind of make it not worth the price since the cheapest 9070 is around EUR 850.

Holy f**k, the 5060Ti 16Gb is EUR 740.

8GB shouldn't exist and the 16GB should be $20 cheaper. Memory is dirt cheap to these large companies as they get massive discounts on bulk deals. It's just more customer fleecing.

The annoying thing is that the 5060 8gb is selling for sub £300. Which means that yeah AMD are giving more vram but they will charge out the arse for it making them no better than Nvidia.

Just for the record people AMD don't make more money if it's sells higher than MSRP. So I'm not sure what the issue here is. It's the retailers that make more.

True, but they could put a stop to it fast. The fact that they don't just shows they don't care what happens once they are sold out of AMD into AIBPs hands. So they are setting a MSRP they know for a fact will not be met. It would be sheer ignorance at best if they just shoved their fingers in their ears once the dies and memory have shipped out and just go "lalalalalala" pretending like they don't know what will happen.

Still, in many other industries people are voting with their wallets (McDonalds and Nike have been all over the news) so they will learn.

Yeah it'll be 450 in the uk after mrsp have sold out and higher in EU but if any company tries to go higher well if you buy it it's your own fault. As for the 8gb card it's a complete waste of dies even if a lesser amount made still a waste to make them set it at 329 and just release 16gb cards guarantee they would sell out but think we all know the 8gb card is going to sit on the shelf or be used to play fortnite. As for the die being different i never said anything as exact i simply said it wouldn't surprise me due to the CU's so in fact speculative not an exact prediction why everyone took it as such well no idea but there.

As far as i'm concerned Nvidia are done in the gaming market literally done, they have managed to give themselves such bad press lately and with AMD going hard this year on FSR4 well wont be long before Nvidia look even worse an option.

Intel are going to be the new AMD the stack is shifting and tbh why would nvidia care.

Key point here is that i'd never buy an 8gb card or even 12gb for my displays in this era anyone that does well your playing fortnite on 1080p fine but otherwise your going to be extremely disappointed in the time frame the card will last especially with a mass of UE5 games just on the horizon give it a year or two and i can see Nvidias 6k series being a complete waste of there time in even launching and so how long before they say were done.
