Welcome to the Official OC3D GTA V gamers thread.

As we already know GTA V is an amazing game and an epic online experience which is not going away anytime soon, in fact it's about to receive a new update in the guise of the "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony" DLC which we are honestly quite excited about.

Update due 7/6/2016 further information can be found here.

The idea behind this thread is to keep the OC3D Crew up to date with Social Club events, offers, future updates and news for Grand Theft Auto Online as well as a place for the crew members to share their GTA Online escapades including arranging gaming sessions and sharing screenshots.

Just a few simple rules:
OC3D Crew only.
No sharing of Team Speak/Mumble details.
No modding, Trolling or Griefing.
General forum rules apply.

So that's out of the way, lets get out there and see what trouble you can get up to, see you all in Los Santos.

Nice! No rush though fella, the big update is coming Tues and the game is huge so expect to be waiting a long time for the install.

You'll need to be added to the OC3D crew via Social Club too.

I'm also currently working on getting my server up and running while Kilbanes is down, so we have Team Speak.

I seriously need to get back into this. Played it a couple of times but mainly modding on it.
We were actually getting quite bored of it, but new stuff especially missions, features & vehicles has dragged us kicking and screaming back to it. It'll be great to get back into heisting again especially as Tolmac is new, it'll be fun walking him through and exploring the map again.

Same goes for anyone else that's new to GTA Online.

Right then boys and girls today is the launch of the new GTA V Further advances: felony and finance DLC and what a meaty update it is.

Here we have a snippet of the change log, full version can be found here.

I'm excited to check this all out with you guys later, however the update hasn't gone without a hitch, namely error (code 201) I suffered this whilst trying to update earlier thankfully there is a fix which is quite simple.

Firstly download the Social Club patch here
Then download the update manually here

Run the Social Club update first then run the game update and everything "should" (it did for me) work perfectly. If you get the (Code 206) error after then I'm afraid at this moment in time you will have to wait a little longer for Rockstar to fix the issue.

No finer time to get in on the action, earn some cash, RP, doing missions & Heists and generally just mucking around.
Just be aware the loading screens are awfully long, that's the only reason I stopped playing. If you're on TS with a group/friends then it less noticeably but playing solo it soon becomes a chore.

As it stands at the moment the servers are taking a beating, same thing happened on previous updates like the low riders it'll settle down later.

You can check the status of Rockstar servers either via GTA Online Server Status or via Down detector.

I've just been in a crew session and even trying to load simple missions is failing.

I still havent played this game online...

You and me both dude.

I got so annoyed at the various lag spikes I was getting I gave up playing despite owning since day one.

No where near finishing the campaign and not touched online. Will get round to it in due course though

I wasn't meaning now, I stopped playing a few months ago and loading screens still were terrible.

Oh no they improved greatly last year, I remember when I started playing early last year with MrKambo and the Crew, the loading screens were painful to wait for. That was fixed when the VIPs update landed.

Really? Might have to give it another go in that case because it was fun but I was spending more time in lobbies than actual missions.

I'd give it a day or 2 before you do because trying to just get on a server at the moment is pathetic, thankfully with them dropping 360 & PS3 support thus concentrating on next gen and PC it should reduce the number of modders and griefers too.

I think what we're experiencing at the moment are the servers being split, old gen and next gen. It's been 5 and a half hours since I was last on. It's a painful wait.

GTA Online this evening guys, we'll be having a mission fest and some Fleeca heists 20:00 BST onwards. If you want onto the GTA Voice Chat server, you'll require an invite so please feel free to inbox me for one.
