Push/pull 2 different pairs of fans

Hello hommies,

I got a 240mm phobya rad, with 2 phobya fans. I just saw now the bitfenix spectre pro fans and i am kinda... in love with them =P so my question is, is it advisable to run push/pull with 2 different pairs of fans?

I know u ppl probably have something to say about this and some might try to send me an anthrax letter for being such a nooooob =P

Cheers and beers for the boys, love and tenders for the girls

Why dont you swap out the Phobyas alltogether ?
Do you really need push pull ?

If yes, at least match the speed of the two pairs so they dont differ
in airflow too much.
Might get some weird airflow-noises.

Thats what i thought, but saving the cash can also be an option. I have been reading quite a bit and i actually got an amazing idea for the fans. I will end up using the phobyas anyway for push and pull, cuz i wanna squeeze the juice out of the rad anyway, but i will paint the transparent frame. when i paint, i will mask some stripes on the side of the fans so when it lights up it has sort of a led strip effect. Need to decide on the pattern though =P

Thanks a lot mate =P

Use the more powerful pair to "push" through the radiator as they will encounter the resistance of the rad fins. Use the less powerful pair of fans to "pull" the air out of the radiator.

ive actually noticed no difference in temps running push pull rather than pull the only difference i noticed was a lot less dust build up on the rad running pull

Hello, I have a rad with 2 nzxt fans and 2 of the fans you've spotted you like (the bitfenix ones) and tbh they create some funky air noise... I'd avoid mixing them really, different blade profiles.

Previously to this i had the bitfenix fans in push pull on one rad and they made an even LOUDER noise.

I have also have a rad with 3 of the bitfenix fans on, and all 3 have developed weird noises (so far that's 5 out of a box of 10 that have developed dodgy noises, including the 2 i have replaced with nzxt ones) so personally I'll be replacing them and avoiding them like the plague in future :(

I really don't recommend them.

It's a shame because they do look alright, but I'm not happy at all with their performance

Wow =D thanks for the advice =P I got an idea for the phobya ones now, since the frame is transparent, i will print some letters and mask some words in there, and then paint it black. when i remove the masked words, it will be like they light up with the neons =P
