Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Ryzen 7 5800X, Sold my 3950X on ebay for £450, Someone actually bought it, I don't need 16 cores, Wasted on me, CPU cost me £399 so I didn't have any outlay, Better performance in games, Improved IPC and improved clocks are quite nice.

Haha so you’ve also come to the realization that you don’t need anymore than 8 cores? Heck, even an 5600X kicks ass amongst the 5900X and 5950X lol.

Pretty much, Games don't really see much improvement after around 4-6 cores so anything more than 8 for my personal use is a waste, I prefer the higher clocks and IPC.

Better keep us updated on how that does, Dice. Genuinely considering replacing my MX-4 next time I do a full system rebuild. Plus my Vega is still on the stock paste so that will definitely need it, haha
It's thermal paste, what's there to say. :D

Well it is so very easy to spread, I'd say it has the consistency of slightly warmed up butter, Really easy to work with as it also comes with a spreader, Temp on my 5800X right now with all system/cooler fans set to 800RPM and with a 280mm AIO is 34'c-35'c in a warmish room.

Is that in idle or during load? Benchmark or gaming load?...

Very cool, I was thinking of getting one but the amount of effort I'd have to put in to try and get one in the UK on top of the price gouging even stores like OCUK are doing is just not worth it, I'll stay with the 2080 Ti until next year.

Yeah, considering I placed my order on November 19th 2020 and recieved it today - 4 months later, then you're probably safe with your 2080 Ti. It's still a beast at the end of the day.
