780ti SLI problem

I have just bought another 780ti to go in SLI with my current one. When I first installed it everything was fine but I realised I hadn't enabled my case lights and the cabling was a bit messy so I tidied everything up. Upon the next boot with the tidy cables the fan on the new card now spins at 100%.

I've tried taking it in and out but the same happens. Any suggestions?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers? Give that a go if you haven't, not sure what else could be causing it if that doesn't fix it though.

Something else must be wrong because even when I enter Windows it's not recognising the second card. Are you meant to get an alert if the second card has been recognised to then enable SLI?

I have no experience with SLI to be honest. I know you can enable/disable SLI in the Nvidia control center, check that you have it enabled.
