Help urgent - Monitors not showing anything.

So I had my PC on half the night, then put it into sleep mode... then when I woke up, I switched the PSU off, to take out my 980 and put it my HD6950. All worked well.

Then when I was going to plug in the monitors, all worked except for the center one. Changed cable, same thing. Both side monitors worked, just not all 3 of them.

Then tried to install the AMD Catalyst Driver, it all worked untill I had clicked away the "AMD Gaming Evolved App", then it started installing, the monitor went black and that's it... I've installed the drivers several times and it has only flickered during installation... not gone dark for minutes. And nothing happens.

I'm pretty certain that what I did was wrong and that it's fucked... and need to reinstall Windows. Or what do you guys say?...

I mean, it boots up fine, with Windows loading on 2 side monitors, but then in Windows only 1 works. Then when trying to install drivers, it goes dark.

Specs:

I7 4790K
Sapphire Radeon HD6950 2GB
32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600MHz
ASUS Gryphon Z97 Armor Edition
Samsung 840 Pro 256GB

Monitors: 3 x BenQ GL2460. 2 x DVI-DVI and 1 x DVI-DP

Thanks,
Chrazey

You need an active DP adapter for the 3rd one - dont panic

Thanks Tom, had totally forgot about it... although, it doesn't work. The 3rd one with Active DP adapter :/
Think that the DP port on the graphics card, might be dead :(... As it doesn't detect at all when I plug in or unplug the cable in that port. It worked fine earlier today though :(...

The 3rd one, DP one, isn't being detected in Windows resoultion thingy, where you can configure your screens.

i would uninstall the catalyst drivers completely. go to bios and run from on board "if you have on board"
restart in safe mode and run ddu.
remove any AMD drivers and any references to them using that.
i would also tell it to NOT reinstall drivers when windows finds them.

i would then power off and reinstall the card (may sound stupid here but its something i did the other day messing with a 5990, when i reinstalled my 7870 i forgot to use both pcie power connectors which caused issues.. my 7850 only has one and i had been messing with that too)

when its reinstalled boot with just the 1 monitor connected.
Download the last known working drivers you were using.
reinstall those drivers.
poweroff.
connect the other monitors.

start the pc again.
Hope they all get detected.
If they do not all get detected, tell ccc to force detection. (you could have it set to manual detection or some stupid setting they like to add)

It might be the adapter - it HAS to be active to work you also have to 'extend' desktop on to it to make it all play nice.

To get windows to see it initially you have to have that active DP adapter working.
