I was impressed, until I saw the price increases.

ah... 50 dollar... that´s ok for me.

compared to how nivida and intel milked me over they years that´s nothing i complain about.
3-5% more performance from intel and the price increased.

the only thing i am a bit disappointed about is that the x470 support will only come in january 2021.
i have a crosshair hero 7 that i would like to upgrade with the 5950x.

I don't play at 1080P so those results are null and void for my use but it will be interesting to see if the 5950X will give any type of perf increase over the 3950X at 3440x1440.

Ah well. The X570 and B550 people will have given the CPU a proper beta test for you.

Great write-up. Really looking forward to seeing whether their price increase is truly worth it.

Checked OCUK and they put up the prices of their 3000 series CPU's, I paid £650 for my 3950X and now it's £728.99, The price gouging that store does is sickening, No wonder the top staff all drive Ferrari's, I can see them doing the same with the 5000 series.
