I've always found Japanese games very confusing, They throw you into a story without having told you anything and then when you are half way through the game they finally tell you parts of what the hell is going on that should have been at the start.

Japanese game studios make fun games but are terrible at telling well structured stories.

They are terrible at writing. All of these anime type games are cringeworthy and obnoxious as hell. Just like anime.

Each to their own. I've always loved Tales games.

Tales of Vesperia is my all time favourite!

I'm enjoying Tales of Arise so far. It's a JRPG, so you will have to be able to like those kinds of games, but it is fun. Not too complex either, so its very easy to pick up and play.

It looks decent, but that price is more than I will accept.

I refuse to pay £60 for any game now.
