Well I'm not sure what's up, but today a RAM module that I RMA'ed for replacement (was rated for DDR2-800, but failed memtest after 10 minutes on DDR2-533) came in, and just for kicks I installed it into the system to see what would happen, and much to my surprise, everything came back to life...
