AMD 7 GHz Zen 6 Clock Speed Target "Confirmed" - Leaker Claims

I don't see this happening. I'm sure maybe single core boost to 7ghz on a ultra binned chip might work. I just don't see it being the common boost target. We shall see

Civilization VI is the Epic Games Store's next freebie

Not a bad deal. Is this cross platform compatible with steam? I have civ 6 on steam but no dlc, would still like to play with friends.

Silicon Motion unveils its 28 GB/s SM8466 PCIe 6.0 SSD controller

I could see it maybe on high-end ThreadRipper but nothing less.

OpenAI reportedly plans to challenge Google Chrome with a new web browser

That's a little over the top, the point is virtually every browser collects data. It's nothing new. It doesn't make it right either. There's not much anyone can do to stop it, unfortunately.

Intel "Arrow Lake Refresh" to deliver higher CPU speeds and a boosted NPU

Outside of mobile and tablets, what applications even use an NPUs? It's totally worthless

Modder adds Noctua fans to their RTX 5080, making their GPU near-silent

I'm more impressed with the fact the 3d printer plastic doesn't melt at 400watts.

Intel Xeon "Diamond Rapid" CPU leaks with up to 192-cores

Zen gas been at 2w per core for quite some time in there large does. If 500 me is to be the real world figure Intel is quite a way behind.

25% loss! Puget Systems details mistake that greatly lowers PC performance

Makes sense it would be interesting to see games tested though. Doesn't rely on bidirectional CPU to GPU communication.

Windows 11 finally overtakes Windows 10 as the world's top OS

I'll be rocking windows 10 for the foreseeable future. Most popular OS doesn't mean best OS.

AMD could go all-in on V-Cache with Zen 6 Ryzen - 240MB L3 Cache possible

They probably would leave 1 stack caches for consumers until the next refresh cycle comes out next. Alternatively leave 1 stack for consumers but use 2 stack for Threadripper and Enterprise products.

Intel may cancel its 18A lithography node for foundry customers

This rumor makes no sense considering they are still advancing the 18A node and haven't recouped there investment. They always leave a mature node available. That's what 18A will be eventually.
