AMD really taking rdna 4 features instead of just using rdna 4 itself. Lmao. Their reluctance to using newer architecture is astounding. Why can't they just shrink rdna4 like they have with every other generation? Surely that would be cheaper.

It's a shame everything is affected. Automotive, appliances, etc don't need the latest memory types that the shortage is caused by, but the supply chain for the materials needed to create them is still being strangled. It's beyond dumb how much the conglomerates are ruining the global...

All this seems mostly like a fanboy spec wishlist tbh. I don't think the traditional console market is going to bite on a near $1000 console even before considering the memory configuration.

There will still be a shortage. They'll milk as long as they can. 30GB of memory is a huge upgrade. Wonder if they will do a 4/26GB split. Currently PS5 is a 2/14GB split
