Zotac GTX970, very small SFF potential?

These new GTX970 are cheap, fast, lower power demand and you would assume fairly cool running.

Perfect for SFF, more so if they'd fit.

But this Zotac one looks pretty small, very small in fact!

I'm contemplating a quiet Cooltek U2 build and this card looks to fit under 22cm comfortably I think.

Assuming it is under 22cm then I'm guessing this will be the perfect budget power-gamer card for SFF users for the foreseeable future.

Or am I missing something before I plan my U2 build around one?

Thanks

Dave

With a SFF you'd want something like a reference cooler that exhausts most/all of the air out of the case. Looking at the photos of the case you like, I'd reccomend sticking with a reference cooler :).

I'm not sure reference will fit at all in 22cm.

I agree on the exhausting logic, but in practice I'm unsure how important it is with the 120mm fan case exhaust just centimetres above it in this case.

Also I'd be tempted to cut out the base of the case and run a low-pro 120mm intake fan to keep plenty of cool air flowing onto the GPU and generally upwards towards the exhaust.

Certainly something to keep an eye on temps though with such a small air volume.

I wonder if the 960 versions will be even more compact again.
