Hey guys, anybody want some super duper fun facts?

A YouTube partner receives $0.05 per subscriber, RWJ has roughly 8,500,000 subscribers.
100,000 subscribers = $5000.
500,000 subscribers = $25,000
8,500,000 subscribers = $425,000.
A YouTube partner also receives $5 per 1000 video views, RWJ has roughly 2,279,000,000 (2.279 Billion) video views.
1,000,000 video views = $5000
100,000,000 video views = $500,000
1,000,000,000 video views = $5,000,000
2,279,000,000 video views = $11,400,000
So by that logic, given the current stats stay the same, RWJ makes $11M per year?
 
As far as I know it depends on what network you're a part of, but also some other things.
I've never heard anyone earning $5/1k views - thought it was more like $2/1k views.

Edit: and i've never heard anything about getting paid for subs either.

P.S. I wouldn't call WikiAnswers a source. Got anything more substantial? - being serious here, i'm curious.

Well yes you are right on some level, it does vary between networks. And also depending on the actual popularity of the channel. It varies from $2.5 per video view and $5 per view if you have a popular channel (Where the bar of popularity is I have no clue).

Edit: Well it's not exactly a topic that the general YouTube public have much clue about is it. As for proof, all I can really say is email a YouTube network (i.e Machinima/Yeousch) and ask them. And I'm not being nasty or anything, but how much do you actually know about YouTube partnership? To me, saying you didn't/don't think video makers earn money for subscribers tells me about enough I need to know.. I guess quite a simple question I can ask is, if video makers don't earn money for every subscriber, why do people ask for subscribers? Why do subscribers matter? You don't have to subscribe to someone to remember their channel/video, that's what bookmark/save page is for right?

Being buddies with quite a few YouTubers, (BaronVonGrumble, Premises187, JakeTheGardenSnake, ARidersLife, SingularityComputers) a quite frequent topic is YouTube partnership and how much they each earn for their videos.

It took about 3 months or monetizing on YouTube... BUT... by that pint I had over 100 full length videos up...

Anyway, @OP: If I may ask (and I'm genuinely curious, not meant to be negative or
anything): What was your intention in starting this thread? Of course people will be suspect
about your claims, why wouldn't they be? If you can't provide reliable sources, there's only
really two ways this can go: Either we all agree, or some people will claim one thing without
being able to prove it and other people will claim other things without being able to prove it.

And voilà, here be a flame war :popcorn:

I know you did, which is what I just said..? Way to not comprehend words? Bud, what the actual fork are you on about? I'm not claiming anything is factual. It's not my fault that your stubbornness gets in the way of everything. Firstly, why would I lie about this? I benefit in no way in posting on a forum about somebodies YouTube channel. I told you, if you want definite results and don't like that page on wiki, look at the RWJ YouTube page, and do the math yourself. Or, watch the video that WeskerPG posted, or contact an actual network. OR, ask Tom.L.

What was my intention? There is no intention, this is the OT section and my post was OT. There is no agreeing or disagreeing, no debate, and no arguments. I too was baffled at what the results of the math were, so being bored I thought I'd post it and see what people had to say.

That's fine mate I know you was just asking and I'm just trying to answer. But for some reason currently unknown to me I keep attracting petty arguments, so if anything I say here onward is a little hasty I do apologize.

I too am curious at the insane results. And yeah of course how much one is paid varies between channel popularity and who he/she is partnered with. And I know that I'm right on some level because the YouTuber "MinnesotaBurns" who has around 1.3 Million subscribers and 167 Million video views, and has just bought a brand new BMW though his YT partnership. And no, I don't know how much RWJ earns with his network, but it's generally $4-5 considering his popularity. 50x that which is what RWJ has, and you could of get the point..

i was right on how you lose your anger once your blood is flowing. Chill honestly. You did not provide facts so i questioned you. Why should i look it up? You were trying to spread the information so provide the facts and proof to support it. Not a big deal dude. You have proven your point now with some evidence so i can now believe you somewhat. That's all i questioned look how easy it was to solve.
