YouTube audio bug?

Anyone else have this recently when watching and especially listening to YouTube videos that the volume level suddenly drops quite noticeably? I then have to rewind the video a bit (or just basically click on the timeline) and it goes back to its original level.

It's well annoying.

Can't say I have had it dude, I'm aware that doesn't help but you now know it's either selective or just you. I'm using Windows 10 and chrome browser.

I'm sure something like that happened to me earlier today, I had some music vids playing whilst I was out in the garden, building a new shed, but thought nothing of it, but now you mention it it was in the middle of a song, so makes me think there is something going on.

I'll keep my ears open tomorrow when I'm finishing of the shed, and I'll post back if anything does pop up.

Heyyo,

Hmm, tried deleting cache, cookies & other site data? YouTube kept swapping overlays on me a bunch and I had to do that to fix it... dunno if it'll fix your volume issue but ya never know.

Just had it happening to me, was pumping some music and I thought I was getting deaf, jumped back a few seconds in the song and there was the noise again!

Has been happening on and off for a few days (typically in game) where the volume drops or goes back to normal. I thought it was a driver issue since I'd removed my sound card a couple of weeks ago.

Might be a windows 10 specific issue?

No it's youtube 100% if you go over the volume slider and scroll up the sound drops but the slider is still on 100%. When you then go back a few secs it gets louder again.

Yeah but it didn't help then cause the issue immediately happened again. Yesterday it was mostly fine though, but I did not listen to/watch a lot of youtube then.

I'm on Windows 8.1 Pro still

I agree it's probably YT if we all get it. That is the exact issue that I was having.

Is there a bug report option somewhere on YT?

8.1 and 10 then lol

Well I was having it in game. WoT, WoWS and Elite Dangerous. Did have a browser open with YouTube but nothing playing or queued up. *one of the default tabs I have open

Kept happening yesterday and today to the point where during watching I decided to up the volume, dragged the slider to the right and it actually went down...

Well I had a perfect weekend, no more bugs my end.

Same- lasted a day or so and now it's gone. Was so annoying tho to lose sound halfway thru a battle. Oh well seems to be fixed.

fwiw = I was using edge and chrome as browsers, youtube is a default tab but pretty sure from memory I didn't have anything playing whilst gaming.
