XFX 8600 GTS Temperature Problem - Please Help Me

Hi Friends !

Just wanted to get some advice / help regarding my XFX 8600 GTS -

What is the Normal Temperature for this Card's GPU ? Mine is just a few days old and the Temperature is showing about 61 - 62C without load (as per Nvidia Monitor utility) - I mean while not playing any games etc (just after the pc boots)

Is this Normal ? Or Am I in danger ? Please advice friends - I'm really worried about this.

Sounds pretty normal to me. Temperature on the 8 series is higher plus GPU's are designed to run at temps below 120°C

50-60C at idle is typical, and 80C is common under load.

if you are running the stock cooler the temp seems to be ok, maybe slightly high though. Before I switched to WC, my XFX 8600GTS temp was around 55-57C iddle and around the 70C load. After I changed the stock cooler for a Zalman cooler temp went to 49-50C iddle and 60-64C load. On watercooling now my iddle temp is around 39-42C and load 55-60C. And if you have oced your card temps should be slightly higher too...

My 8800GTX is 67C at the mo and under a load it can get up to 95C and its well cooled! Water cooling soon YAY!
