That's because there's no shortage of them... They need to move volume.
There is no shortage though, and it is why I will not buy another Sony Console, TV, Hi-Fi etc because they have artificially kept the price high and made the PS5 one of those things, people crave because they cannot have it easily.
Few stores the day before the price increase had none available, now though they are available from multiple places.
Currys currently have multiple different bundles all available to purchase and have delivered to your house within 3 to 5 days unless you pay for next day.
Argos I can travel 30 miles to collect one right now.
Game - I can order from now and have it delivered tomorrow.
So since the price increase there are thousands available, but before it there was nothing or slim picking unless you were willing to pay a scalper.
