Well I'm about to make a big purchase, the 360. Before I buy it i was wondering if anyone here have had any overheating issues with there 360 because while looking around on the internet I've heard some real horror stories about people being on there like 3rd one so i was wondering if this problem has been resolved.

Pat

I'me getting a 360 for crimbo and i too have heard about some overheating troubles but as far as i can see as long as its in a well/decently ventilated space you should have no troubles:)

Raging.

It will be fine! :D

This was the problem when it first came out, Mircosoft didn't predict the fan speed properly..

I would wait till early next year, they are switching to 65nm cpus.

Sorry for the double post but do you have any idea when there doing that, other than "early next year"? Also, will there be a very noticable difference graphics wise?

No graphical difference, I wouldn't worry about it dude, it's just cooler and more efficient, i don't think the clock speed or anything is being increased.

My nephews is, at this minute, suffering from *something* - runs for a short while and then graphically splurges, with red thingies on the button thing.

It`s a handful of days short of a year old, I`m thinking dusty/fluffy inside resulting in heat - cept the b1tch is a tough cookie to open up. Unless u got a lovely star shaped head that`s the right size.

I know most would disagree with me haha, but ya get a Wii... And ya I don't have a date so I just heard early next year.

I have the Wii so it's kind of like a system share. He has the 360, I have the Wii, we are over each other's houses all the time so it's like having both systems.

Lol well then you guys finally get the good end of the deal in something :p

Well technically by European Law all hardware suppliers have to supply 2 years warranty on all items. I had a link but I can't find it right now.
