Well seems ps3's new revision isnt as outrageous now - although it isnt strictly out in the uk yet, making it good news for us

not really,360 has been out far longer than ps3..

and an hdmi port is nothing,vga or composite is better

the hard drive will probably be released as an extra too just like the original.

i thought hdmi has the best results as it's bandwidth is very good. Better than the other two.

Lol im planning on waiting till next christmas or my birthday and just summing up between the 360 and the ps3, only time will tell. The wii isn't my thing as im a lazy git who gets tired playing time crisis with the guns lol. Would be great fun for parties though!

I'm slightly miffed about the HDMI port, but then as my monitor does not have HDMI it's not too much of a biggy

@darkorb: there's always revisions of consoles, in fact the PS2 and the Xbox had about 7 afaik (feel free to correct me)

From what I've heard, the X360 can't display HDCP content.

If so, the HDMI connection is a HUGE addition.

Hmmmmm! Sounds like what happened to the original X-Box owners, I think.

When they brought out the "Special Edition" for like an extra £50. There was a mad rush by peeps to get them. Then lo and behold M$ released exactly the same thing for cheaper, but without the "Special Edition" badge stuck on it.

Prolly wishful thinking, but it would be nice if M$ did some sort of a trade in. Your old 360+a bit of cash for a Zephyr.

The PS2 had plenty of revisions, but they didn't change the spec to the extent the v2 does compared to the 360.

It's closer to if Sony happens to put the new cell into a revision of the PS3 or had released the PSX as the PS2 V2. (Not quite on that scale though).

That article doesn't seem correct though

The SCPH-70000 is also the only series to work with the MultiTap expansion allowing 4 players to play at the same time.

It's not really a change of spec..just adding HDMI out which doesn't affect output.

A change if HDD is an add-on and was inevitable

Hey guys just wanna let you know tha this isn't confirmed, however Microsoft commented on it and didn't deny this. All they said was we are not allowed to comment on this. It seems probably since Microsoft has been interested in HDMI though.
