Seems a little unfair by the thread title, but how much of a performance difference is there to be between these two, bareing in mind the price also:
Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X6800, Socket 775, 2.93 GHz, 1066MHz FSB, Conroe Core, 2x 2MB Cache, Retail - £562.83
Intel Core 2 Quad-Core Q6600, 775, 2.40 GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 8MB Cache, Retail *Game Included* - £316.08
.. and let`s say u upped the Q6600 to 2.93GHz.
These prices just crazy cos the one is toward the top of it`s range ? and the other lower cos it`s toward the opposite end of it`s range ?
As a major Intel n00ble, will the Q6600 spank the crap out of the X6800 at the same clock cos of it`s 8m ? I dunno - I`m looking for answers!
