X1900XTX vs 7800GTX/512 - Hi-res results

PIC links not valid my friend - but the X1900XT is expected to beat the current 512MB GTX - thats not really the competition its aimed at and certainly its impressive all the, but nigh on useless if it dont beat the G71 (or be as good as).

The reason I say that is that if it is not as impressive or more impressive than or even split quickest as teh G71 - who's gonna contraoll the price we are paying for these premium products?

512GTX was way too much money - I am hoping these releases are more competitive both in performance and price.

True, i think those are ati inside tests, Not real world, know what i mean?:)
 
You`re not looking at it right- the 7800GTX single card is taken as the reference point so gets 100%- everything is measured against that as a percentage. :)

Its a cunning way for ATI to make any gains look MASSIVE, and some of them are, so I think bits have been optimised for ATI. drivers or settings or whatever.

well these are out - and price gouging has come into effect as usual... rrp on these is £350...store in stoke (flippin pirates that they are) are after £411 a go....
 
anyway, at £411 for the x1900xt card as long as they perform on par with the 7800gtx 512mb many won't care precisely how good they are - thing is, that most reviews I've seen have 7800gtx 512MB being at least matched or beaten in most tests so if you're getting a card right now, x1900xt seems to rule..until 7900ultra tho :)

Funny that there have been no oc'ing tests of top oc 7800 vs top oc of x1900.
