X1800xl + Vista = Worldfullapain

ok theres my issue with this card.

When I install drivers for the card, it initialises the tv card sound on the pass through to the motherboard. Its not plugged into a jack or anything so its chucking it through the motherboard. So all you get when you turn on the pc and the drivers kick in is the sound of an un tuned tv card.

If I then install drivers from the asus site for the motherboard, asus m2n vmx I believe it is, then you dont get any sound at all

Installed the AviVo software suite but Im jiggered if I can see what it does and any of the tools that it comes with.

Anyone got any ideas, all I want from my pc is sound :-(

I wish i could help, but i have had this similar problem to but with a older AMD Xp board... and i tried it in preview launch thing of vista...

I would say screw it because it is very hard thing to fix.... And i have spent many hours on it and i gave up.... It is not worth the time...All i can say is try it in a different pc.....
