x-fi I/O module? front panel?

anywhere you can actually buy these?

i just found out i can't use the 'flexijack' without some stupid i/o module and having the xtreme music i dont have the front panel thing either :S

does anyone know where they can be picked up?

if not has anyone got one going spare lol?

just bought an awesome new amp with optical and coax digital in connections, only to find out i can't use 7.1 on it because i've only got 5.1 creative analogue cables (sucks) and i can't use coax or optical audio from the sodding card itself.... *sigh*

i have however got 5.1 through analogue with it and damn is it impressive

where the hell can you buy these things from?! creative don't even have them in stock on their page?!

First thing to check is if u`r card actually has the connection array on it. It`ll be at the rear of the card and look like a larger ide bank. If the array isn`t there, the empty solder points will be there - in which case u can`t connect it to a front plate (which is often refered to as a Drive).

Other than that, u `used` to be able to buy them from creative, not many resellers stock them. But I found that eBay is plastered in them. Bought 3x 5.1 Live! with Drives for ~£20 each. Creative one was like £40-£60 without the card.

Be carefull which one u find on eBay tho, there is an XFi one (black), Audigy(black and beige about) and Live! (beige) - and be certain if they come with remotes.
