Whats the best way of sorting out the ribbon cable which connects the i/o front panel to the card??

You could paint it? Would look pretty nice. Apart from that you could fold it carefully by cutting the strands loose and sleeving it to make a rounded cable - like they do with IDE cables :)

I really hope you bought that card used at about 20% of its retail value... Or else you got massively screwed up the you-know-what. Looks decent though!

Yeah really. Those cards are RIDDLED with bugs and issues. You'd be better off with an Audigy2 ZS, sadly. Heck, an SB Live! 24-Bit wld even fit the bill. I honestly don't know why people waste so much money ($100+) on such a simple thing like a sound card.

/end rant.

Easy gentlemen please!

Needed the i/o panel...did have an x-fi extreme music... sold it to fund the fatal1ty. Cheaper to do that rather than keep the extreme music and buy the add-on i/o panel.

Haven't had any issues...I play BF2 most of the time and its enhanced my gaming experience.

Much better mate

I am quite interested in the X-Fi (mebbe the gaytality one). Does the breakout box have Coaxial out?

Yarp it does:

Coaxial SPDIF In/Out jacks Connect digital audio recording/playback devices with coaxial jacks (for example, MiniDisc recorders, Digital Audio Tape recorders or external hard disk recorders) to these jacks.

Also, a question for u all.....shall I braid my psu black so when I fit my watercooling only the water cooling loop glows??

x-fi extreme music here too :) they might be buggy (i think i've been pretty lucky) but god damn do they sound fantastic in bf2/fear/css etc
