After flashing to the newest BIOS my temp readings have shot WAY WAY up...

I'm up from 30*c load to about 46*c load at STOCK voltage.

WTF?

I'd get a proper thermometer on your CPU to see what it really is.

Quite often some of the BIOS fixes include more accurate temp readings....

Hrmmm... i suppose! I think this is more of a bios fuckup than a fix, lol... I know this shit aint loading at 46*c at stock voltage on water, lol.

Edit: I'm gonna go boot at 1.85v and see what it goes up to :)

Haven't touched it.... And it was running nice and cool at 1.85v before.

However! I think I just nailed the problem with this rig, definately psu IMHO. Tried to raise the vcore and i get the BSOD at windows boot, lower it back down and it boots right in...

An unstable/noisy 12v rail on ur psu can contribute to a hotter running of your processor....so i think its about time that you got some OCZ goodness.

rofl no... they pulled me over for my radar detector, those sonsabitches!

Maybe what I'll do is just get the psu next friday and bank the rest of the money that I dont spend on bills/tickets (grrrr) and then apply that towards the 4000+ next payday.

Yeah that would be a better idea. You don't want to get one and think..."I wish I'd have saved and got a better one".

Radar detectors are legal in the UK!! :D

Isn't that about to change? And i'm not 100% sure, but isnt that they are only legal if they are switched off?

Well ATM they are legal as long as they do not interfere with the signal from the Police cameras. The Polica can't do ya for it as it's currently seen as a "Traffic calming" type device hehe :D
