Just got back from 2 weeks of glorious sunshine in Essex, Hylands park at the WSJ 2007 where scouts from ALL over the world attend one of the most fun things I have ever done. For those past two weeks I felt part of the world, enlightened...heck even spiritual. I met guys from everywhere and got pretty friendly from a lot of people from my sub camp. There was something like 12 subcamps each holding 5,000 people from everywhere. I met a guy from the netherlands (had a meal with their troop too which was ace). Two girls from finland kept stalking me too haha xD. The guys from North East USA were cool too! Toop 102 i think they were.
Ive exchanged many email addresses and ordered a dvd of all the action. More info and pics availiable at http://eng.thejamboree.org/
Royalty from many countries inc. our own attended. and the first night the UK contignent (who arrived a day early to set up) had a concert with JK from radio1 djing and performances from many bands including Lemar and Liberty X.
It was absolutely amazing and will hopefully be going to the "eurojam" in 2 years time (as once u are 18+ u have to be part of the working team or a leader to go)
I now have the post jamboree blues
lol
