Woot for After-Thanksgiving sale!

Well, I went to my first one today! Went to CompUSA at midnight (didn't get home till 3:30 AM) and then went to Fry's at noon or so. Got meself Saitek gaming keyboard, Saitek SP90 joystick (cheap shit, but functional), Logitech Precision Gaming Headset (wasn't on sale, but I broke since my other 1 was a POS :p ), 3 Hitachi 160GB SATA HDD's, and BF2.

CPU stepping is KABCE 0542FPMW. Is that good?

Also, I'm going to sell one of my mobos, should I use the ASUS and sell the Abit, or use the Abit and sell the ASUS (and no, I am not going out to buy a DFI, it's just between those 2)?

With the HDD's, should I raid 0 the os and use 1 drive for my games, 1 the os and 0 the games, or 0 the os and games and 1 the data? I think I'm probably going to split the OS and games, so if one fails, I'll still have the other, but then, what's the games without the os, and what's the os without the games? heh.

Also, do you need to do anything with the comp once you install a new CPU or does it just run (Don't hate me 'cause I'm a n00b :D )?

Also, when I put my stock HSF on my current, the locking arm was put in the wrong position so now it's really hard to take off, what can I do?

Frag, can I get your xp-90? :p

That's it! Plz give me your opinions on my questions and tell me what you think :D

Its called MACRO mode, learn how to use it ;)

When did Saitek come out with that joystick? You should have gotten a G15 instead of the gamers keyboard ;)

Why so many 160GB?

There those are my commments ;)

When it's 19.99/hdd, why not? :D And what question is the macro an answer to? As for your comment about the keyboard, notice this is a SALE. I'm goin for cheap effectiveness, not uberness :p

Your camera should have a macro mode, USE IT ON CLOSE UP'S!

That stuff is cheap, nice buys!

Nice stuff, but I can't exactly figure out why out of all of that stuff you didn't get a new PSU? That seems like a stupid move considering yours is about to blow up and take all those spiffy new parts you bought with it.

Agreed. Maybe you should pop back down to Best buy and get yourself a decent PSU or that sweet lot will go up in smoke!!

Well, as said in the Stupid thread, I have an Antec TruePowerII 430W and I thought it would be able to handle the load of adding those extra USB devieces and all the other stuff when I put them in. There a SmartPower 500W on sale for $50 : /

That psu should be able to handle the new components no sweat. Sounds like the psu might just be heading out the door mate.

I'd bust out a voltmeter and check all of the rails and see if that's what the problem is.

if the abit works keep it definantly sell the asus, raid 0 those 2 drives definantly, no you dont need to do anything when you put a new cpu in motherboard yes. you might have broken that locking arm or jammed it
