Witch amd chipset can overclock?

All the AMD chipsets ''support'' overclocking, even the budget 760g ones.

But as said above, 990fx for serious, reliable clocks.

honestly the thing you really need to worry about with amd oc.. is the power phaze.
The higest possible is better..
they come as 3+1, 4+2 and so on..
the higer the phaze count the better.. you would not be over clocking a 8350 on a 3+1 board. infact even stock clocks would probably not work on a 3+1 and the board would auto matically underclock the cpu..

The temps the powerPhases rise even on stock/turbo values are terrifying!
You should be looking at boards like the Asrock Fatal1ty 990FX the Sabertooth990FX by ASUS (it has all that ceramic cooling thingy) and the 990FX Crosshair Formula Z by asus. (not the military class things you find on the Sabertooth990FX but it can give you a bit more extra juice

Not to mention the non ROG branded high end asus 990fx motherboards. You don't pay for stupid branding so its cheaper yet they can perform just as well.

Wouldn't consider M5A99FX PRO R2.0 over the Sabertooth since the price difference is just 20Euros.

In the uk the PRO R2.0 is about £20 cheaper then the sabertooth and £40 then the crosshair. The PRO can cope with 9590s easily so in my opinion its still a no brainer unless you're doing LN2 stuff...
