Wiring for Derlin Vandal

Hi,

Anyone know how i should be wiring up a derlin switch? Using one for power and one for reset. Also not sure on what size of resistor i should be using....

Cheers.:)

If you wire the LED in the Delrin switch directly up to the Power LED header on your motherboard it shouldn't need a resistor ;)

Yeah, the led's run 3.3v and use a header each but the power for the switch is 12v and needs to come off the psu. 6 terminals on them. 1-4 and +/-.

IIRC it's something along the lines of:

Pins 1 - 3 = Push To Make

Pins 2 - 4 = Push to Break

Though it could be the other way round, best grabbing some crocodile clips and checking before soldering anything.

The + - pins are for the LED.

If your 100% sure they take a 3v line not a 12v I "think" you need a 560 ohm resistor to knock the 12v down to 3v though as Jim said, you may as well run it from the mobo header which gives out 3v to start with.

I've got a couple here I need to wire up so i'll make a guide when I do it. :p

Plans are to use the 2 spare headers i have on the SST esa module for the led's to keep the cabling fairly hidden. Pwr will route to the psu. I'll hold on till you've had a pop at it yourself before i start getting myself in trouble.....;)
