Wireless USB coming soon?

Wireless USB seems to have been launched properley, say ExtremeTech. It seems that a new wireless USB be will available from the end of this year.

With speeds of up to "

480Mb/s at 3 meters and 110Mb/s at 10 meters"

this looks to be set to be yet another "wireless revolution".

Hmmmm...not so sure about this one. I mean it sounds like a great idea but for me, cables arent a problem really. Still, for those of you who crave that "beauty" that comes with a wireless desktop, then this should be good news.

Wireless USB runs over the WiMedia Alliance's flavor of ultrawideband which uses the WiMedia MB-OFDM MAC and PHY.
