Wireless stuff!

Right, I have a question for you network dudes!

I have a wireless router, but the wireless doesn't get down to the other side of the house.

I can't move the router becasue I am wired to it.. And for obvious reasons don't want to go wireless for my main gaming rig.

Is there a way to get the wireless signal boosted down the otherside of the house? Like a booster thing.. which catches the signal then sends it off again?

If not can i plug in 2 or more routers into the same internet connection?

:p

Thanks!

You have 3 options;

Use a signal booster, belkin do one.

Run a ethernet cable

Use a POE adapter, these are getting pretty good now.

personally, i'd go for the 3rd option

Right, I have been reading up on these POE adapters and well, I don't quite understand how they work... :eek:

There pretty simple, they shove the data from an ethernet connection down your electrical circuit in your house. Mostly they need to be on the same phase, but they have been known to work pretty well on different ones too.
