Microsoft appear to be ramping it up for the final release of Windows Vista, before RTM. Will Vista be the success that Redmond say it will be? Who's going to upgrade to Vista upon it's release? Feel free to comment below...

Despite the fact that Vista is turning into little more than a re-skinned XP, i'm quite looking forward to it.

It's just going to be good to have something new to explore and will probably put a temporary stop to my frequent switching to linux and back again routine.

After being a tester now on it for a good long while. vista is .. OK...

thats about it, nothing really stunning jumps out at me from a user upgrading from XP to Vista.

yes it looks pretty but the stuff needed to power it is getting heavier and is going to cost a lot to get existing rigs working properly with it. Will vista look or perform any better with a Dx10 card is what id like to know.

And.. now i have a mac....... i can say that I prefer the simplicity and ease of use of the mac to vista at the moment

alot of things built for the future will eat up alot of resources, remember what the life span of a OS is now a days.

My dad is saved up and ready for both Vista and a major PC up-grade just as soon as I say I'm willing to build it for him.

As the new Flight Sim X is weighted in favour of Vista he is willing to pay the price.

He allmost lives in Flight Sim and I swear he could fly any comercial aircraft on a runway today.

Me ? .... I'm sticking with XP until I am totally forced to move ( kicking and screaming I bet ) up to Vista.

I'm running RC1 on a spare PC and can see no good reason to switch over yet.

Given Micro$ofts past track record I will wait ... and wait ..... and wait ..........

Edit = sorry - new here and the underline feature seems to work different to what I'm used to - - I'll get the hang of it !!

Edit 2 = Fixed it - doh ;)

Any ideas as to when RC2 will be released to the public? I'd definately like to give it a whirl on the new rig I'm working on.

RC2 Download: http://download.windowsvista.com/preview/rc2/en/download.htm

Keys: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/preview.mspx

to receive a new key, use the above url and click the option "Get Windows Vista RC1", scroll down to the "Download Now" dropdown list and select your country. RC1 keys will work fine with the RC2 build
