Sadly not fella, you'd have to ring M$ and get them to release the key for you.

You used to have to phone Microsoft up to transfer the licence to a new motherboard but i'm not too sure these days mate.

Cooleo thanks peeps, Might just buy a cheap 8.1 pro key then do the free upgrade, Still got 1 month until it finishes :)

I talked with an MS support guy on the phone the other day, he told me that if your license is retail and not OEM you can do what you want to do

On Windows 8.1 it automatically registered for me on my new motherboard, for some reason... No idea how or why. But then when I installed Windows 10, I had to make the call though :p

P.S. Nice switch my friend ;)

For 10? It didn't for me installation wise (even though it had all the drivers left over from my MSI 'board) and weirdly my 8.1 key just worked fine to re activate it.

sorry its a bit late.
