well done mine and it disabled my desktop gadgets , set a good few apps to default so gota go through entire system now looking for what its changed , also some security updates for windows defender it has disabled my bitdefender firewall
that is not working any more looks like i might have to uninstall and reinstall it see if that will help cos nothing else seems to

Every time windows does a big update half the stuff gets restored, it is kind of annoying but more so because the windows search in the control panel couldn't find the settings i was searching for to disable again, i mean.. yeah..
Other then that, so far it seems fine once i finished restoring the things.

Until the previous update they always re-enabled windows driver updates, SSD tweaks etc. And every time disabling required different tweaks.
I hope it doesn't do that again.

ok its not as bad as i thought lol, everything seems to be ok from first glance a lot of apps i had off stayed off , did not set anything major back to default settings
the only thing was the disabling of my antivirus firewall , would not allow me to turn it on or fix issue on own windows security apps, after a quick reinstall of that seems to be all ok
although my ftp speeds seem to be abysmal now , not sure if that has to do with the update
edit: it did mess with the bluetooth

Updating my laptop right now. Won't update any of my main machines until the weekend.

This update completely killed my mic input, or it only monitors through the left channel, discord doesn't even pick up anything... Microsoft also changed the audio settings panel again, its a mess.

Had? how did you fix it because i can't get my mic to work whatsoever, i'm at the point of considering a fresh new install with the latest update because there is nothing else i can do and i need my mic.

Installed, Changed a few default audio settings which took all of 2 seconds to set correctly, Apart from that it went quite smoothly.

"Had" as in I immediately rolled back after trying to fix it for 3 hours straight.

I deleted that data to keep my ssd space in check so i couldn't roll back, in the end i just reinstalled win 10 with the new update from the media creation tool and its fine now.

Yeah, about an hour ago, I reinstalled it and realized that I had to enable my microphone via the privacy controls which is very weird. Good to know that you got yours to work eventually.

Update works great for me. Also, check your privacy settings. The update restores and enables all of it.
